Embark on an epic journey into the heart of the Great Maze of Bardo, a place where few have ventured — and none have returned. Within the Great Maze you will find lurking dangers, hidden treasures and new challenges at every turn. Can you navigate its depths and escape, or will you become trapped forever?
The Lost City of Bardo is a vast open-world adventure. The Great Maze is so immense that you could wander for years before finding your way out. Along the way you will encounter sources of wisdom, valuable allies and powerful potions to aid your journey. Scattered throughout the maze, special devices help you overcome obstacles and uncover new paths — and even with these tools, the sheer scale of the place is overwhelming.
The game's task system always tells you what to do next, and completing tasks unlocks the matching Achievements. Each task prepares you for the one after it. Tasks can be completed out of order, but you will always know what stands between you and the end.
Free to play, with optional in-app purchases to aid your journey. The Save Sword Inventory item grants unlimited saves, making the game easier to complete. Save swords can also be found within the Great Maze — but they are rare.
Structure
Four stages
Every stage prepares you for the next. By the end, everything you have learned is on the table.
Stage one
Preparation
Learn the essential skills: gather resources, work the devices of the Great Maze, collect and create crystals, use gold and diamonds, cultivate special mushrooms and craft powerful potions.
Stage two
The Arena
Nine gruelling levels that test everything you have learned so far. Conquer the Arena and you are rewarded with the Plasma Gun — the key to progressing further.
Stage three
To the centre
Gather more resources, mostly gold, and make the journey to the centre of the Great Maze. Daunting — but you now carry the Plasma Gun, and you have a new ally to guide you.
Stage four
The four corners
The hardest stage. Travel to each corner of the Great Maze, face the three great monsters of Bardo, and return victorious with the four Great Crystals.

The East
Shadow
In the far eastern reaches of the Great Maze dwells a massive, eight-legged creature known only as Shadow. Her hunger is insatiable, and the skulls of her victims litter the ground. No one has ever seen her — only her shadow. And by then, it is already too late.
The West
The Kraken
In the westernmost reaches lurks a dreaded beast. Its tentacles rise from the inky depths beneath your feet, striking with lightning speed. Only when every last one has been severed will it reveal its hidden treasure — and the slightest misstep sends you plummeting into the abyss below.
The North
The nameless beast
In the northernmost reaches dwells a legendary beast without a name, guarding a great treasure in a vast abyss. This foe cannot be defeated — but he can be outwitted, if you are quick enough. The Great Crystal he protects unlocks the final phase of your adventure.
With the four Great Crystals in your possession, the final challenge awaits. The Great Maze has tested your skill, endurance and wit — you are ready to uncover the final secrets of Bardo. The legend awaits.
